Educationist Admonishes Govt On Policy
The Headmaster/Managing Director of Elizabeth Memorial Children School, Ojota, Lagos, Evangelist Isaac Essilfie, has said that there is need for the Federal Government to implement better education policies that will give room for the expected growth in the sector.
Speaking at the seventh Valedictory Service of his school recently, Isaac noted that it is not all about implementing the policies, but government should also make further efforts to enforce and sustain them.
“We need orientation on how we should go about implementing education policy. Re-inventing education in Nigeria today will supersede the problems in schools which are mostly caused by parents. Moral values must be pronounced in the schools,†he said.
In his own submission, the outgoing senior prefect, Yusuf Ibrahim, stated that “the untiring effort, care and love towards us so far by our parents, ensuring that we get good education pays off. To all my colleagues, the world is not a bed of roses, remember you have just climbed a step in the ladder of your academic pursuit, there are still lots more for you to climb with tolerance, endurance, obedience, hard work, hope and faith.â€
