Police Boss Vows To End Killings In Jos

The Police Commissioner in Plateau, Mr. Emmanuel Ayeni, has vowed to end incessant killings in the state and called for support from all security agencies to achieve the goal.

“This madness must stop, we must put heads together toward a secured Plateau.

“We must work as a team to protect law abiding citizens from unprovoked attacks by miscreants,” Ayeni said in Jos on Tuesday.

The Oshodi/ lsolo Local Government Area, commissioner, who was on a courtesy visit to the Controller of Immigration in Plateau, Mr. Gambo Wuyep, said that the situation in Plateau required a lot of collaboration among the security agencies.

He said that the police alone could not checkmate the crises and called for synergy for effective security in the state.

The commissioner called for security alertness by all citizens to check the situation and restore peace to the state.

In his response, Wuyep expressed readiness to work with the police and other security agencies toward restoring peace on the Plateau.

He said the Immigration Service had begun the collation of data of all aliens in Plateau and expressed the hope that the effort would go a long in checking the involvement of aliens in the crisis.
