All Stars striker, Ahmed Audu, has dedicated to his club the two goals he scored against Ikenna Football Club of Ojo at the final of U-15 Henry Ajomale Cup held on Sunday at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Island.
Audu’s two goals were all All Stars FC needed to defeat Ikenna FC 2-0 in the final encounter watched by the cup donor, Chief Henry Ajomale, who is the chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Lagos chapter and the party faithful.
The elated player told P.M.Sports that scoring the crucial goals in the final was not by his power alone but for the support of his teammates.
He said the victory came when the team needed to win a trophy after disappointing outings in previous football competitions they have participated in.
“I want to thank my teammates for the two goals I scored. For now, this is my best performance in my football career. For a player like me to score two goals in final, I feel great and I will continue to give my best to the club,†he said.
Cup donor, Ajomale gave glory to Almighty God for the success of the tournament. He said the tourney lived up to expectations and congratulated the two finalists for their performance.
“I am happy that the final ceremony was colourful and lived up to expectations. The young kids gave good accounts of themselves. If we can nurture young kids at their tender ages, they can go places in their football career,†he said.
