Commuters, motorists and other road users in Lagos State and the country at large have been advised to exercise a high sense of caution while driving during this period of the year.
The executive members of the Lagos State Taxi Drivers and Cab Operators Association, LASTDCOA, gave the advice during a chat with P.M.NEWS recently.
Alhaji Tajudeen Adetoro, the general secretary of the association said: “as we all know that the ember months are usually associated with road mishaps, we call on all road users to exercise patience while driving. The road does not kill, it is speed that kills.
The association also urged its members to obey traffic laws and other things capable of bring the association’s name into disrepute. He advised them not emulate the bad attitude of some drivers that are not affiliated to any association.
Adetoro called on the members of the public to always patronise taxis or cabs with the association’s sticker.
“We have always said that passengers should ensure that any taxi or cab they want to board has the association’s sticker; this will help them to get back their items in case of lost and also save them from those who use taxis to commit all forms of atrocities.”
He assured Lagosian of their safety and that of their belongings.
