Jonathan Assures Foreigners Living In Nigeria Of Security

President Goodluck Jonathan has said relevant authorities were working hard to check the activities of terrorists in the country, and assured diplomats and other foreigners living in Nigeria that government would not relent in its efforts in this regard.

President Jonathan was speaking to the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Mr. Park Young-Kuk, during his farewell visit at State House, Wednesday.

The President said terrorist activities were strange to Nigeria, and so posed immediate challenges to the security agencies.

He expressed appreciation to South Korea for supporting Nigeria’s electoral process, among other areas of bilateral assistance and cooperation, and wished Mr. Young-Kuk success in his next post.

Earlier, the outgoing Ambassador had expressed condolence on the UN Building bomb blast, and expressed appreciation for Nigeria’s contribution to the expanding bilateral trade between the two nations.
