The Ipaja Youth Forum (IYF) an umbrella body for the youths in Ipaja area of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA has lauded the leadership of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Alimosho for the fairness, equity and transparency displayed in the choice of Alhaji Sakiru Adisa Yusuf as the consensus candidate of the party in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA for the 22 October local government polls.
President of the forum, Mr. Abiola Jimoh, in a statement praised the leadership of the party for ensuring the emergence of an Ipaja indigene as the choice candidate for the coming council polls.
He explained that he was not surprised with the way the party made its choice, stressing that the ACN in Alimosho was known for following due process and the path of justice.
He showered encomiums on Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Osun State; Joke Orelope-Adefulire, Deputy Governor of Lagos State; Chief Solomon Ogundola, Prince Bisi Yusuff, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and others for their role.
He declared that the choice of Sakiru Yusuf has shown that the “ACN believes strongly in generational shift, because Yusuf is a young, dynamic, energetic and astute grassroots politician, who served as a councillor.
“He has been a loyal and dedicated party stalwart in Alimosho and by extension Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.â€
The forum further praised the traditional rulers in the LCDA for giving their royal blessing to the people’s choice.
An executive member of the forum, Prince Rotimi Akinniyi said he was happy that for the first time in the history of Ipaja, the royal fathers were the first to support their worthy son.
