Bombing: Jonathan Asked To Be Assertive

President Goodluck Jonathan has been asked to nip the spate of bombing and political violence in the bud before it becomes a hydra-headed monster that cannot be controlled.

Bayo Adefuye, a politician and Deputy Managing Director of Arisco Constructions Limited, made this call during a chat with Political Platform, adding that terrorism will not help but destroy the nation.

He said: ” Act of terrorism is an unfortunate incident which the president must seriously look into. Before President Jonathan emerged Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for the presidential poll, some leaders of northern extraction threatened to make the country un-governable for him if he eventually becomes the president.

“Up till today, nobody has come up to question this people. I think the president should look into this threat. He needs to be firm and nip the situation in the bud, if he does not want it to be worst than this,” he said.

He further said he had expected that some of the security chiefs would have resigned because of their inability to have a concrete clue as to why political violence and bombings persist in the country.
