Orphans Make Music
Inmates of Rachel’s Home for Orphans and Vulnerable Children will showcase their talent in music tomorrow at the National Centre for Development, Abuja.
The musical album entitled the Rising Stars of Rachel’s Home, will be launched alongside a fund raising to enable the orphanage move to befitting accommodation in Abuja.
According to the operator of the home, Mrs. Rachel Alaje, “I started singing at the age of 10 and the orphanage home started in 1990 to take care of the less privileged children in our world, as some have parents, while some don’t have.â€
Alaje, who at a time, lost touch with her parents before she was able to locate her family again, comes from Oju Local Government Area of Benue State and she is a staff of FCT Universal Basic Education Board, Abuja.
She sang one of the songs in the album while the inmates of the home contributed to the work in the album.
