Fulani Marauders Kill Pregnant Woman, Others In Jos

At least 14 persons have again been killed by Fulani marauders in Vwang Kogot village of Vwang district, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state.

The attackers struck again yesterday, leaving tears and sorrow in their trail.

This is the third time the attackers will unleash mayhem on the village. So far the number of people killed in the village is 19.

Among those killed in the latest attack are four children and a pregnant woman, a 70-year old man by name Da Zaka and an aged women of about 60 years.

The Vom attack is coming less than nine hours after the Foron attack where 12 persons were murdered in cold blood.

The victims including an aged man and two women and children were mostly members of Da Danboyi family who was also seriously wounded and rushed to Vom Christian Hospital but later died.

However, the only survivor of the recent attack, ageg between 6 to 7 called Istifus Gyang is still receiving medical attention at the Christian hospital.

Officials of the hospital said the boy is responding to treatment.

An eye witness alleged the attackers were Fulanis and were aided by the military to successfully unleash the mayhem on the community.

The Plateau state government said so far 52 people arrested in connection with the recent attacks will be prosecuted and assured that the suspects will not escape prosecution.

Addressing newsmen after the state Security Council meeting presided over by Governor Jonah Jang at government house, the Commissioner for Information Abraham Yijap disclosed that the security agencies have been directed to immediately fish out the serial killers attacking communities.
