The Orile-Agege Community Development Committee, Agege, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, has dissociated itself from the media report that Isale-Odan community has been deliberately neglected by the authorities of the local council.

Speaking with newsmen recently, the CDC Chairman, Deacon Funsho Akindehin, said that there was no time that the Community Development Association sat down to discuss such, adding that the report has a political undertone.

Akindehin added further that there was no iota of truth in the allegation that the Orile Agege LCDA chairman, Hon.Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo intended to acquire the land donated to the CDA by the Omotoye Family.

“We just want the whole world to know that there was no time that the LCDA intended to acquire the Isale-Odan CDA land. The said land was given to them by the Omotoye family. There was no time that the state government wrote to the LCDA that they wanted to acquire the land.

“I have held meetings with the principal officers of the CDA, which includes the chairman, treasurer and the secretary and they denied knowledge of the malicious publication. Even the landlord associations in the area denied having any link with the story.

He said that the Hon. Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo led administration has brought a whole lot of development to the LCDA since its creation by the national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
