Owner Of RCCG Land Alleges Threat To Life

The Osho-Edu family in Lagos State have cried out over alleged threats to the lives of the family members by members of the Soleye family over a disputed landed property which the former claims belongs it.

The property is located at Oke-Rala Village near Shimawa, Sagamu Local Governemt Area of Ogun State.

They also called on the police in Ogun State to come to their aid and intervene in the issue as they are no longer safe.

In a petition to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, the Osho-Edu family, through their solicitor, Ola Aiyepola and Co, said the family owns a vast expanse of land in the area and that it was used for farming of cash crops.

“To the utmost dismay and shock of our clients, on one of the occasions of visiting the farm land, the family officials were attacked by some hoodlums with guns, knives, matchetes, cudgels and charms; the family treasurer because of his military training was able to escape,” the petition stated adding that one of the family members was injured in the alleged attack.

The petition sated further that ever since, there has been several other attacks and that hoodlums have taken over the land and even claimed to have sold some part of it to the Redeemed Christian Church of God. “The family being peace loving instituted an in court having investigated that these miscreants may have deceived the church and scammed them into paying huge money claiming to own fictitious vast acres.
