Proprietor Tasks Govts On Exam Malpractice

Government at all levels in the federation have been tasked on the need to urgently put machinery in motion to tackle the rising wave of examination malpractice in Nigeria.

The proprietor, Mozan Schools, Pastor Moses Hunge, disclosed this during the valedictory and prize-giving day of the school held at its premises at Meiran, Lagos, southwest Nigeria recently.

According to him, government would need to take an urgent look into examination malpractice in schools before the scourge becomes incurable.

He lamented that this malaise has eaten deep into the fabric of the education sector, both in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, advising that there should be checks and balances in the operation of external examinations at all levels.

Hunge added that “government should put together adequate manpower to oversee the conduct of all examinations. All stakeholders in education and parents should cooperate with government to eliminate this disease of examination malpractice which is already destroying many lives of our young school leavers.”
