Governorship Tussle: Akpabio, Udoedehe Know Fate 15 Sept
The Election Appeal Tribunal sitting in Calabar, Cross River State, today adjourned till Thursday, 15 September, 2011 ruling on the governorship appeal filed by the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidate, Senator John Akpan Udoedehe.

The petition was instituted agaist the victory of incumbent Governor Godswill Akpabio.
The three judges, namely Justice M. I. Mukaila, Akeju and M. A. Oredola, said they were awaiting correspondence from Abuja on the relevant authorities cited by the counsel Prof. Taiwo Osinbajo, SAN, for the ACN candidate and Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN, leading the counsel for Governor Akpabio.
They agreed to deliver the ruling on Thursday, 15 September, 2011 if they could have the relevant authorities cited to work on today and tomorrow.
Supporters of the two parties to the case expressed their disappointment that the appeal tribunal postponed the ruling.
The parties concerned in the case were expecting a favourable pronouncement and they were in high spirits to celebrate their victory.
The governorship election petition tribunal in Akwa Ibom State had eralier dismissed Udoedehe’s petition.
