BRF Wrestlemania 2011: Foreigners Declare War On Nigerians

Foreign wrestlers taking part in the ongoing Intercontinental Wrestling Championship tagged BRF Wrestlemania 2011, have declared that they are in Lagos, Nigeria to win trophies in the four-day competition.

The championship, packaged to honour Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, began yesterday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, and some of the foreign stars have beaten their Nigerian counterparts in the few bouts fixed for Day One of the tournament.

One of the wrestlers from USA, Dynamite said that he is in the competition to “ to show the stuff I’m made of.”

Dynamite of USA got the better of Nigerian Rocky Johnson. Strong Bone could not withstand the strength of Erica Sailer of Norway as he fell like a pack of cards in one of last night’s fight watched by a huge crowd that included Chairman of the LOC, Primate Charles Odugbesi, and his deputy, Dr. Niran Adeniji.

Tymupepe of DR Congo defeated Super Rosco of Nigeria. Scotland’s Banilux Bulldog beat Duname of Angola.

Mighty Man of Delta State, Nigeria beat Hot Tempo also of Nigeria Anambra, while in the lady’s bout, Tina Terror beat Lady Bunmi.

Fights continue this evening on Day 2 of the tourney at the same venue.
