The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education, Hon. Fatai Babatunde Olukoga has assured the management of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education of the support of the state government to create a conducive learning environment and develop infrastructure in the institution.
Speaking after being taken round the formations within the College for an on-the spot assessment recently, Olukoga commended the effots of the past leadership of the institution and expressed optimism towards more development with the coming of the new provost, Prof. Olu Akeusola, who he described as a dynamic, vigorous and an experienced leader.
Earlier in his welome address, the Provost, Prof. Akeusola thanked the Special Adviser for the visit and expressed the readiness of his administration to work with all stakeholders and foreign academic links in the collective drive to take the College to greater heights.
Akeusola also revealed that his action plan included the transformation of the institution into an open university soonest by adequately exploiting and harnessing the human and material resources that abound in the College.
In a related development, the Provost, alongside other principal officers, paid a courtesy call on the former governor of Lagos State, Sir Michael Agbolade Otedola, who the College was named after, at his Odoragushin residence in Epe Division of Lagos State.
