Igando ACN Chiefs Commend Party's Leadership

Stakeholders in Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area of Lagos State have commended the leadership of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the state for listening to the masses.

The group had in a communiqué jointly signed by Chief Saheed Balogun on behalf of indigenes and Prince Segun Adeoye for none indigenes, rejected the incumbent chairman of the LCDA, Mr. Monsuru Ashamu Olabode a.k.a. MAO, for a second term, over allegations bordering on abuse of office.

They thanked the party leaders for stopping the chairman who was recently arrested and quizzed by the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police, over an alleged N49 million contract scam, following a petition by Engr. Adeniyi of Abbey Construction Limited, Lagos.

Rising from a crucial meeting in preparation for the forthcoming local government election in October, the group said it is satisfied with the choice of Chief (Mrs.) Morenike Adesina-Williams as the ACN chairmanship candidate for the LCDA and Alhaji Mufutau Akodu as her running mate for the poll.
