Pauline & Wilson Foundation has announced the sum of NI.I million for the prize winners of the PWF Champions Cup which begins 1 October at the Gbagada Roundabout Playground.

The Cup donor, Innocent Ogah, told GSG that the prize money will attract big clubs to participate in the championship, adding that all the participating teams will be given consolatory prizes at the end of the competition.

According to him, the eventual winners will go home with N500.000 with a giant trophy while the team in the second position will go home with N300,000 as third and fourth place teams will receive N200,000 and N1,000 respectively.

Ogah said the competition will be the first of its kind in Lagos and urged the participating teams to give their best and avoid social vices that can tarnish the image of the competition.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Kemac Emina, disclosed that they have extended the collection of registration forms to next Friday because the sponsor wants clubs from every part of Lagos to take part in the competition.

Emina advised interested club owners to come for their registration forms, saying only eight clubs are needed to complete the number of required teams for the tourney.

“I am impressed that clubs from far away have shown interest in the competition. We believe that by next Friday, the 24 teams needed in the competition would have been completed,” said Kemac, who promised to organise colourful and memorable opening and closing ceremonies.
