Professor Steve Torkuma Ugbah, candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Benue State, in the April Governorship elections in the State, has moved his battle for justice and mandate recovery to the Supreme Court of Nigeria for adjudication.

Addressing his supporters Monday in Makurdi, days after the Appeal court in a conflicting judgement dismissed his case against the election of the incumbent,Professor Ugbah appealed to his supporters to remain calm as the judicial fraud of the Court of Appeal could not stand at the Supreme Court.

The ACN team of lawyers has already filed a Notice of Appeal at the Supreme Court, challenging the decision of the Court of Appeal that led to the dismissal of the Petition as being abandoned.

Prof Steve Torkuma Ugbah has called on all ACN supporters to remain calm, resolute and law abiding as they walk with their heads high; emphasizing that the battle has just begun.

Prof. Ugbah told his supporters to be always encouraged by the struggles of the ACN in Osun, Ekiti and Edo States, stressing “we shall neither yield, nor give up until justice is done through the restoration of the mandate of the people, to ensure the sanctity of the vote and our democracy.”
