Nations Cup Qualifier: Siasia Names Osaze, Taiwo To Face Guniea In Abuja


Super Eagles’ Chief Coach, Samson Siasia, this afternoon, recalled West Brom of England striker, Osaze Odemwingie, AC Milan of Italy’s defender, Taye Taiwo in his squad to face Guinea in the final game of the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier scheduled for Abuja, and Ghana in an international friendly on 8 October.

The former Nigerian international also recalled goalkeeper Austin Ejide, who plays for Israeli Premier side, Hapoel Petah Tikva and Neuchâtel Xamax of Switzerland’s Kalu Uche, who missed the last set of fixtures against Madagascar and Argentina in an international friendly match in Dhakar, Bangladesh.

A surprise call up is relatively unknown defender, Ugo Ukah from Polish club Widzew Lodz.

Those who made the list are:

Austin Ejide, Dele Aiyenugba, Chigozie Agbim, Joseph Yobo, Taye Taiwo, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Elderson Echiejile, Efe Ambrose, Dele Adeleye

John Mikel Obi, Joel Obi, Fengor Ogude, Kalu Uche, Obinna Nsofor and Ahmed Musa.

Others are Osaze Odemwingie, Ekigho Ehiosun, Ike Uche, Emmanuel Emenike, Peter Utaka, Chinedu Obasi and Brown Ideye.

Gege Soriola, Emmanuel Ekpo, Nosa Igiebor, Ugo Ukah and Nnamdi Oduamadi will join the Eagles in London.
