3 Charged With Attempted Murder

The Police in Ota, Ogun State have dragged three suspects, Jamiu Mohamed, 35, Fasali Ajibawo, 40 and Samson Oloyede, 16 before the Ota Magistrates’ Court for conspiring to commit felony, to wit, attempted murder of Oba A.N. Ige Adube, the Onibaragun of Ibaragunland.

In the three-count charge, the prosecutor, Inspector Femi Shodiya alleged that on 10 September, 2011 at about 4 p.m., the accused attempted to kill Oba Ige Adube and also damaged his Ford SUV registered Onibaragun by using a cutlass to break the rear glass. The offences contravened Sections 320 (2), 451 and 324 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun State.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges and the presiding magistrate, O.O. Ojo admitted the accused on bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each.

The matter has been adjourned to 29 December, 2011.
