A chairmanship aspirant on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State for the 22 October, 2011 local government election in the state, Ibrahim Odofin, has promised better welfare package for residents of the area if given their votes.
According to him, he has all that it takes to turn the council area around, noting that the present administration of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has failed in the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
“I have been around for quite some time. Our people have been neglected by the present government. I am coming out not because of my popularity, but I want to serve my people and give them quality services,” the aspirant, fondly called Saka Eleshin, stated.
Odofin, who is the chairman of Eleshin Security Services Company Limited, disclosed that his first primary assignment if voted into power, is to empower the youths by providing thousands of jobs within the local government, noting that youths engage in nefarious activities in the area because the present government has failed to empower them, adding that his administration will also focus on widows and aged people, while it will make sure that all the bad roads are rehabilitated.
