Container Load Of Explosives Intercepted

A 40-foot container load of explosives has been seized at the Tin Can port in Apapa, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The explosives seized by the Nigeria Customs were illegally imported from China and falsely labelled as toys to beat security checks at the port.

No arrest has been made and the importer of the dangerous cargo has not come forward to claim the container.

The customs vowed to arrest the importer if the person fails to voluntarily come and claim the goods.

Last October container load of arms and ammunition was seized in Lagos and not much has been done to prosecute those who imported the weapons almost a year after the seizure.
