Youths Shut ACN Office In Mosan-Okunola
Following protests against the alleged imposition of Alhaji Abiodun Mafe, as the chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, community leaders and youths in the area have sealed off the secretariat of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
They vowed that the place will be under lock and key until justice is done and the candidate of their choice, Bosun Oduntan, is chosen to fly the party’s flag during the forthcoming local government election in the state.
Residents of the community also promised to vote against the party at the poll if its heirarchy insists on the alleged imposition of Mafe.
According to them, after his three-year tenure, Mafe came in again as the chairman and spent another three years, adding, “the people of Mosan-Okunola are fed up with him and therefore don’t support his second term.”
They therefore appealed to the party leaders in the state to give them the candidate of their choice as earlier decided at the last primary election on 12 August, 2011.
