Residents Begin Electrification Of Community

Residents of Ijaagba community in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State have commenced electrification of their community. the project is worth over N20million

Chairman of the Community Development Association, CDA, Mr. Akingbade Sunday told P.M.NEWS that the community decided on the self-help project after waiting for several years without electricity, and government has refused to come to their aid.

He noted that the community came together to make life better for themselves by providing infrastructure through self-helf.

He pleaded with the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to help the Ijaagba community by bringing the good things of life to the people of the community.

The CDA chairman added that the community needs a 500KVA by 33 transformer to power the area. He begged both the local and state governments for assistance to help complete the project.

He said the community also needs upgrading of the link roads, a health centre, police station, schools and drinkable water, He added that though the residents have been taxing members to fund the project but it is now beyond their power.
