Nigeria’s senior women national team, D’Tigress, are on the verge of missing next year’s Olympics holding in London as they face an early exit from the ongoing Women’s Afrobasket in Bamako, Mali.

Winners of the ongoing tournament will win the sole ticket available for Africa in the women basketball event of the Olympic Games in London. P.M.Sports learnt that the Rashidat Sadiq-captained D’Tigress have not been too impressive at the tournament, having won three and lost two of the five matches they have played. Team pairing seemed not to favour the Nigerian women as they were grouped with the tournament’s favourites and the defending champions, Senegal and Angola.
