Chief coach of Nigeria’s U-23 national team, popularly called Dream TeamV, Augustine Eguavoen, has told Nigerians they have nothing to worry about his team’s qualification for the football game of the London 2012 Olympics.

Eguavoen said he is confident that Dream Team V will defy all odds to qualify for the football event.

The Dream TeamV boss yesterday on BBC World Service said he is not perturbed being drawn in the same group with Senegal, reiterating that he is confident his players will rise to the challenge and come out victorious in the group.

“I think we have been done a big favour with the grouping, since we were drawn in the same group with hosts of the tournament, Egypt, and our West African neighbour, Cote d’Ivoire. I will advise all our fans back home to calm down and be rest assured that we will do all we can to secure a ticket for the Olympics,”he said.

The former Super Eagles defender said his only worry is the fact that the 12- nation pre-Olympic tournament has been scheduled in a period that is not within the international matches free periods as fixed by FIFA.“I hope the European clubs will be able to make available our foreign based players when we need them to prosecute the matches,” he said.
