At seven persons lost their lives in a fatal motor accident involving a trailer, a J5 bus and a Toyota car at Azara town in Bauchi State at about 4:20 pm. today.
According to eyewitnesses’ account, the trailer conveying cows lost control and fell on the road while the J5 bus and the Toyota car rammed into it.
Over 15 cows were also killed and several others injured.
As at the time of filing this report, kind-hearted Nigerians were making efforts to rescue the driver of the Toyota car trapped inside his vehicle.
About 25 minutes after the accident occurred, no policeman or road safety official was at the scene of the crash.
Only some volunteers were seen trying to evacuate corpses and also save the lives of the injured victims.
