CWI Profers National Solutions
The founder and president of a non government organisation, Christian Welfare Initiative, CWI, Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, while speaking with P.M.NEWS at 36, Palm Avenue, highlighting four major concerns on national issues.
According to Achibishop Magnus, these national issues that need immediate solutions centres around Agriculture, Food, Security, Energy, security of lives and property and the coming local government elections in Lagos State.
He said that poverty level in the country presently calls for a major concern as people who are well dressed are found on the streets begging for money to eat.
On energy, he stated that it is equally a disgrace that all the four refineries are not functioning, hence importation of oil.
“My advise is that the federal government should at all costs make sure that all the refineries are put in working order and stop importation,†he stated.
He said the armed forces should be put to task on security, to justify the huge money that the federal government is spending on them.
He suggested that the federal government should investigate thoroughly, interrogate the culprits and prosecute anyone found guilty no matter how highly placed they are in the society. “Even those calling for the release of those allegedly arrested in connection with Boko Haramshould be probed,” he added.
