Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, this morning led eminent personalities including a former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, to the burial ceremony of Ebenezer Obey’s wife, Mrs. Juliana Olaide Fabiyi, reports Ayodele Lawal.
An interdenominational service held at Bishop’s Court Multipurpose Hall, Ibara, Abeokuta, preceded the burial.
Other dignitaries at the burial include representatives of Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Elder Wole Oyelese, a former minister, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Arisekola Alao, Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland and Pastor Ayo Oritsajafor, President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
Also in attendance were Mrs. Ronke Olunlayo, wife of former Oyo State governor, Dr. Omololu Olunloyo, Jide Osinubi, a socialite and friend of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi.
In a tribute, Governor Amosun described the late Mrs. Fabiyi as an exemplary mother for her to remain in the life of the popular social figure, Ebenezer Obey.
He prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss. King Sunny Ade was one of the prominent artistes that attended the Christian wake-keep.
Gospel acts such as Timi Osukoya a.k.a. Telemi, Evang. J. A. Adelakun of ‘Amora Tete Bo’ fame and Esther Igbekele performed at the event.
