Movie Stars Mourn Donald Okoli

Still shocked by the sudden death of popular movie director cum actor, Donald Uzebechukwu Okoli on Friday, 23 September, 2011, popular movie stars in the Nigerian entertainment industry have continued to mourn the deceased, who until his death, was among the most influential filmmakers in the country.

Most of the deceased colleagues that spoke with P.M.Entertainment described him as a humble, easy-going and down to earth person.

Stella Damasus: Honestly, I was shocked to hear about his death. He was a gentleman and one of the best hands around. The industry will miss him greatly.

Segun Arinze: It was so unfortunate that we lost that bunch of talent at a time when we have been making frantic efforts to completely invade the international scene. We regret to announce his death and commiserate with his family. May his soul rest in peace.

Halima Abubakar: He was one of the producers that I respected so much. He was a thorough professional who knew what he was doing. His death is a big loss to the entertainment industry in general.

Abubakar Yakub: I was extremely shocked and scared when I was informed that he was no more. I never expected that we could lose a genius like him so soon, and I was worried because the way at which our people are dying in recent time calls for serious concern.

Prince Ifeanyi Dike: Honestly, it was a sad news. I just came back from India after a surgery, so I didnâ€t expect to hear such news about anybody in the industry. I pray that God will give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Emeka Rising-Ibeh: He was a fantastic personality that Africa will miss a lot. We will liaise with his family to give him a befitting burial.
