Lagos 80% Ready For 2012 Sports Festival
Lagos State Sports Commissioner, Barrister Enitan Oshodi, has said that the government of Babatunde Raji Fashola is 80% ready for the hosting of the 2012 National Sports Festival.
Unlike previously when some hosting states struggled to put in place sports facilities for the competition, Oshodi said 2012 Sports Festival will be different as Lagos has enough facilities which are in good shape and ready to be used.
“For us in Lagos, we only need few things to do on the logistics and we are ready for the competition,” he said.
He also disclosed that as part of the effort to host a successful championship, athletes in Team Lagos will be motivated very well by the government.
“We are planning to host a memorable event, while Governor Fashola is not taking the welfare of the athletes with kid gloves. He has pledged to take care of them for the Sports Festival,” he said.
