LG Boss Dies In Ogun

The Chairman, Transition Committee of Ijebu East Local Government, Alhaji (Hon.) Musa Abolanle Olatunde, aged 41 has died after a protracted illness.

He was buried this evening
according to Islamic rites in his hometown, Ijebu-Ife.

In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the
governor on Media and Communication, Mrs Funmi Wakama, the Governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, has expressed shock and regret over his death.

The governor described the late Hon. Musa Olatunde as a grassroots politician and parliamentarian of note, saying that, “his contribution to the growth and development of Ijebu East would remain a reference point in the state.”

Amosun commiserated with the people of Ijebu East local council and
the entire state on the loss of “one of the illustrious sons of Ogun State”, urging the citizens to take solace in the fact that he led a fulfilled life and his works within his short chairmanship of the local council are will endure.

The governor prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant the family of the
late chairman the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the departed
eternal rest in Aljanah.

Alhaji (Hon.) Musa Abolanle Olatunde was also former Councillor, representing Ijebu Ife Ward 1 between 1999 and 2002.
