Community Endorses Bamgbola

The residents of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, have unanimously endorsed the present chairman of the council, Hon. Hakeem Bamgbola, for a second term in office. This, according to the people, is to enable him continue the good work he has started.

According to the traditional ruler of Itire-Ikate-Ijesha, Oba Lateef Dauda, “we are very happy with the job Bamgbola has done, and we are very proud of him and I am giving him my support and royal blessings to contest for second term in office so that the development can continue in the council area.”

Also speaking, the Chief Imam of Ijesha, Alhaji Abdul-Mojeed Akapo, also expressed his support for Hon. Bamgbola.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS, Alhaji Akapo, stated that Bamgbola deserves to be elected for a second term as the chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA because of his contribution to the council area in terms of road and drainage construction and rehabilitation, adding that the chairman must be particularly be commended for his achievements in the area of education, which are clear for all to see.

In his reaction, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Itire-Ikate, Pastor Kayode Olukayode, stated in a letter that all the Christian in the council area are solidly in support of Bamgbola’s second term bid and commending the chairman for bringing sanity to the council area. He stated that one good “term” deserves another, promising that the chairman can count on the Christian as a body to support his aspiration.

The youths too were not left out as they pledged their support for Bamgbola and the Action Congress of Nigeria, AC N.

According to the leader of the Itire Development Youth, IDP,Comrade Idowu Olaoye Osho-Taiwo, “Bamgbola has done very well and that’s why we want him to come back so that we can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy. He has no rival as far as all the youths are concerned and he rightly deserves the appellation of chairman of Chairmen given to him by the youths and I can assure anyone that he is coming back unopposed,” he said.
