Unity Cup: ‘Ciccy Will Bounce Back’

Chief Coach of Ciccy Academy, Saturday Okon, has assured their fans that the team will bounce back following their 2-2 draw against Young Planners in the opening match of Unity Cup .

The competition, which was organised by Amuwo Odofin Football Coaches Council, kicked off last Sunday at the Olympic Football Field, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.

Okon was disappointed with the outcome of match. He told P.M.Sports that the performance of his team was not impressive and charged his players to brace up to the challenge of their next match.

“My players need to wake up from slumber if they want to make any appreciable impact in this competition. We cannot afford to play draw or lose our second match,” he said.

The proprietress of the club, Mrs. Cecilia Onyemezide, who just returned from Italy, however, said she is happy with the recent performance of the club, adding that she has concluded plans to launch the club officially by early next year.

“I have Ciccy Academy in Italy and they are doing well in their league. I am planning to launch the academy in Nigeria officially,” she said.
