120 Youths Jostle For Peak Milk’s N40m
No fewer than 120 youths would be competing for a whooping sum of N40m prize in this year’s Peak Milk Talent Show Season Three, which commenced on Independence Day, 1 October.
Mrs. Ore Famurewa, Corporate Affairs Manager, Friesland Campina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, producer of Peak Milk and Three Crowns Milk, made this known at a press conference on the talent show held recently in Lagos.
Famurewa said audition for the season has been concluded in 11 cities around the country in which 120 talents qualified for the zonal final in Lagos. Twenty-four of them would have to face the judges and viewers vote, which would eventually produce 12 contestants that will contest for the grand prize of N40million..
She stated that the combination of judges decision and short message service ‘SMS’ from the viewers will lead to the emergence of the star prize winner, after five weeks of the elimination show.
The star prize winner, according to her would cart away N10million cash and a talent development contract of N30m.
“The viewing audience would also win prizes such as iPads, Blackberry phones, based on their SMS voting,†she stated.
Mr. Jide Olorunfemi, the Brand Manager of the company said over 16,000 contestants were screened for the talent show which is intended to bring out the talent in the act which goes with the ‘Peak In You’ campaign of the Peak Milk product.
Olorunfemi added that the talent show is one that explores diversity of talents, ranging from drumming, singing, rapping to dancing among several others.
