PAC Gets Fresh Mandate On Security

The Police Assistance Committee, PAC, has given a fresh mandate to its executive members nationwide to get closer to the police and other security agencies in the country to keep assisting in the area of information gathering and dissemination for crime prevention, detection and combating.

At its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting held recently, the PAC in a communiqué mandated all chairmen, secretaries and PROs of Association of Tradesmen and artisans who constitute its core membership at the grassroot to liase with all State Police Commands, PPRO, Area Commands, Divisional Police Officers and Police Posts nearer to them and open channels of discussion and information passage through which the police and other security agencies can curtail the security menace confronting the country at the moment.

In the communiqué signed by its zonal commander, Mr. Aloysius Ikechukwu, the PAC also urged their exco-members and other grassroots field officers to link up with other security apparatus like the SSS, Defence Intelligence Service, NDLEA, NAFDAC and other stakeholders with the aim to pass on useful information to them through verbal contact, and on-line via PAC email: [email protected] or [email protected] or hotline 08029122596 to assist the various agencies in their respective line of operations in the prevention and combating of crime in the country.
