Salami was charged with obtaining money by false pretence before a Somolu Magistrates’ Court but he pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.

Magistrate Bola Osunsanmi admitted him to bail in the sum of N100,000 with a surety in like sum.

The prosecutor, Asp.Akinlabi Adegoke said that Salami failed to fulfil his promise of constructing cabinet beds and some other things for Mr Ogbologu Onyekachi from whom he collected N174, 000.

Adegoke said that Salami converted the sum for his personal use.

“The said offence was committed sometime in June at No. 56, Kunle Adebowale St., Anthony in Lagos,” Adegoke said.
