The Ifako-Ijaiye council chairman said at the ceremony tagged ‘Change of Baton’, that ‘the party has decided and as a loyal party man, I have to abide by the decision of the party. Our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked me to follow Oke hand in hand to campaign all over Ifako-Ijaiye and that is what I intend to do.
“There is no acrimony between us, we are one, what we are doing here today is merely a change of baton. It is the same administration and we are going to work together to give Ifako-Ijaiye a face-lift.â€
All the leaders of the ACN in Ifako-Ijaiye, including the chairman of the party in the area, Hon. Kayode Fadayomi were present at the ceremony.
In his speech, the ACN chairmanship candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye, Dr. Oke thanked the incumbent chairman for his support and promised to sustain his programme to develop Ifako-Ijaiye,. He appealed to residents to vote massively for ACN candidates in the coming elections.
“ACN in Ifako-Ijaiye is one.†There is no division whatsoever. Please vote for me and all ACN councillors in the local council polls and you will not regret doing so,†he stated.
