Administrator General and Public Trustee, Lagos State, Mrs. C. O. Odumosu said a committee has been set up to review the inheritance law since it had been enacted over 50 years ago.

She said this during a stakeholders’ workshop on Justice Agenda: Administration of Estates and Trusts in Lagos State, organised by the LASG Ministry of Justice, office of Administrator General and public trustee.

She described the workshop as timely because of its importance to the administration of justice as concerted effort is made to attain and maintain a force to be reckoned with in the delivery of justice to all Nigerians, particularly in Lagos.

Speaking on the challenges of the office, she said it is still faced with the rigorous processes of obtaining Letters of Administation which would enable it to perform its functions effectively despite Order of Courts.

She employed stakeholders to jointly proffer a lasting solution to the myraid of challenges to forge a way forward and the amicable resolution in inheritance matters in Lagos.

She appealed to the public to comply with its laws by giving relevant information that will help in quick and effective delivery of justice in line with the state government’s justice agenda.
