The United States Information Service, USIS, office in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria has been relocated over what sources attributed to security threat.

The USIS office formerly located on Broad Street, Lagos Island, has been relocated to its Consular office at Marina area of Lagos.

Apart from re-locating USIS office and suspending its services, the agency has changed its name to Public Affairs Service, PAS,

When P.M.NEWS visited USIS on Tuesday and yesterday, the place was shut.

Although there was no official reaction on the matter, P.M.NEWS also gathered that the relocation might not be unconnected with the precarious security situation in the country.
