Toro Wants Siasia To Resign

Former Secretary General of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Sani Toro has said that Samson Siasia should take the path of honour and resign as Coach of the Super Eagles before he is disgraced out of the job.

Toro, a former member of the House of Representatives said that the embattled Eagles’ gaffer should resign for his failure to qualify Nigeria for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

According to Toro, since the former Nigerian international has agreed to take the blame, as a man of honour, he should not waste time to bow out.

“I expect him to resign. I won’t blame the players rather I will blame the coach of the team, who failed in the crucial match against Guinea in Abuja due to his technical ineptitude,” Toro said.

Meanwhile, Media Officer of the NFF, Ademola Olajire has said that the unlimited freedom the football authority gave Siasia denied Nigeria ticket to play in the Nations Cup.

Olajire said the excessive freedom given to Siasia led him to be too highhandness in the administration of the team.

He noted that there are some players who were supposed not to be in the Super Eagles but Siasia still took them in.
