The chairmanship aspirant of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN in Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos State, Dotun Oladapo, has denied speculations that he had decamped from the party.

He said: “In a swift reaction to the widely-spread unscrupulous whisper currently in circulation at Ejigbo LCDA, I Dotun Oladapo, chairmanship aspirant under the umbrella of the Action Congress of Nigeria and founder of the Movement for Better Community, hereinafter wish to utilise the full opportunity of this medium to debunk the rumor that I ever had a stint with any other political party other than the ACN in recent time.

“As a party loyalist with long-standing integrity right from the Afenifere Independent Group, Alliance for Democracy and Action Congress days, I cannot, at this point in time, gamble with the status quo of my political position whatsoever on the platform of our great party Action Congress of Nigeria.

“Sequel to the above, I hold a strong belief that a loyal party member of my calibre will always dismiss the party’s decision as inevitable, supreme and binding upon all members . More so, as a complete gentleman and a totally committed member of ACN, I would again want to reiterate here that, eventhough it is somewhat difficult to accept defeat so cheaply in a gallant contest that deserves to be won, I retain my stand that party’s decision is final. This, to me, does not call for decamping to another political party as I would always want to guide my political posterity jealously.”

He implored the general public, his supporters in Ejigbo LCDA and beyond, members and leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria and members of the Movement for Better Community, to see the rumor as unfounded and baseless in all ramifications.
