His supporters recently stormed his campaign office with placards to proclaim support for his ambition.
Staff, friends and well-wishers of the aspirant in the local council wore branded T-shirts and carried placards from his campaign office at Amudat Jokomba Street to the party secretariat at Odongunyan area of the local council.
At the party secretariat, he reassured the people of Ikorodu North of continuity of his good works if re-elected into office.
“Because my people were pleased with the administration of the local council during my tenure, they decided to give us another term to continue the good work we have started. I will use the second tenure to show appreciation to my people,†he said.
He highlighted employment generation, poverty alleviation, infrastructural development, education and provision of basic amenities to the local council as his achievements during his first tenure.
“If re-elected into office, I will focus mainly on road rehabilitation and maintenance as most of the roads have been in bad condition in time past,†he promised.
Jokomba was elected as the chairman of the council in 2008. He is seeking re-election into office.
