LG Inaugurates New CDC

The chairman of Odi Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Ilupeju, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, has inaugurated a new Community Development Committee that won in a keenly contested election recently. the committee is to assist the LCDA in its developmental efforts.

The ceremony took place at the Odi Olowo/Ojuwoye Secretariat at the weekend.

Speaking at the occasion, Adeyemi Alli, congratulated the new CDC members and noted that their appointment is for a three-year term, though renewable based on compentence and performance.

“During the tenure of the immediate past executive of the CDC under the leadership of Alhaji Ganiyu Adebisi, we were able to evenly distribute our projects in all the 34 registered CDA in the council area.

“I am now appealing to the new CDC excos to work and surpass the achievements of their predecessors and also carry along all the 34 CDAs without rancour.”

The chairman also used the occasion to donate a grinding machine to a blind man, Mr. Wahab Lawal Olusola, a resident of 23, Ojuwoye Street, Mushin to enable him fend for himself.
