Olympic Qualifier: Falcons Get Cash Motivation To Beat Cameroon

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have received a boost ahead of their make or mar Olympics qualifying second leg match with Cameroon as the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has promised each player an increased winning bonus of $4000, if they win the match and qualify ahead of their Cameroonian counterparts.

Speaking on Brila FM this morning, NFF Media Officer, Demola Olajire said the bonus increment is to motivate the Falcons ahead of the match, adding that Nigerians can’t afford to see another qualification for a major tourney slip by.

He added that the NFF chairman, Alhaji Aminu Maigari and the Technical Department Chairman, Barrister Maurice Green have also promised to give monetary rewards to the team if they come out tops in Yaounde.

The Nigeria versus Cameroon match will take place on Saturday, 22 October, 2011, inside the Cameroonian National Stadium in Yaounde.

Super Falcons won the first leg with a slim victory of 2-1 in Abuja and need to avoid defeat to secure qualification for the football event of the 2012 London Olympics.
