Ivorian player, Sylvain Anibie, has commended Nigerian players for fast improving on their game, saying that their catch up with the game is worthy of emulation and commendation.
Anibie stated this at the Lagos Tennis Club, Onikan, the venue of this year’s edition of the Governor’s Cup.
He said the local players have improved on their last year’s performance, pointing out that they stand a chance of winning laurels at the tourney.
“Nigerian players have improved tremendously on their last year’s performance. They gave me and other opponents a good fight in the game and I expect them to win laurels this year,†he said.
Anibie praised the Local Organising Committee, LOC, for providing standard facilities for the players.
He said this is a sign that Nigeria and other African countries are ready to stage world sporting events without crisis.
