Sabath Sells Canvass
Nigerian player, Sabath Ibrahim, has sought solace in selling canvass after crashing out of the women single’s event of the Governor’s Cup taking place at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan.
Ibrahim said she decided to sell canvassto other players at the tourney just to have something to fall back on after the tournament.
“I need to engage in the business. I need to maximise profit and make more money off the court during the tourney. I always come to the spot before or after match to monitor the sales of the canvass,†she said.
She, however, stated that the business does not distract her but only makes her comfortable on the court.
She disclosed that her friend helps her to bring the goods to the venue of the tourney.
“I feel comfortable with the business and the game. The business makes me comfortable on the court because I’m making my cool money here. I only come here when I’m not busy training or in the court,†she explained.
