JukeBox Launches Album

It was a night of fun and excitement recently as JukeBox, winners of the 2010 edition of Star Quest, Nigeria’s only band based musical talent hunt competition, officially launched their first album.

The launch of the album, which was held at The Place, Ikeja, Lagos, saw dignitaries and celebrities, from entertainment and other circles trooping in to support the Jukebox.

The band did not disappoint as they serenaded the audience with tracks from their album even as Gbenga Adeyinka, the anchor for the night, supplied rib cracking jokes.

Speaking during the event, Kenny Ogungbe, CEO, Kennis Music, under whose label, the album was released, praised the band for their hard work and consistency after winning the talent hunt competition, over a year ago.

He announced that the album will also be available for sale digitally through I-tunes and other digital media. Ogungbe promised that the record label would renew its contract with the group.

Also speaking during the event, Sampson Oloche, Senior Brand Manager, Star, Nigerian Breweries Plc, expressed delight that Kennis music was renewing the band’s contract.
