Scrabble Federation Holds General Assembly

Nigerian Scrabble Federation, NSF, has concluded arrangement for this year’s edition of its General Assembly billed to take off 25 November, at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Disclosing this to P.M Sports in his office, the General Secretary of NSF, Mr. James Eakyns said: “In accordance with article 2.1 of the General Administrative Guidelines for National Sports Federation, the General Assembly shall be made up of NSF Board and two delegates i.e chairmen and secretaries from each state Scrabble Federation including the FCT or their representatives.”

He stated further that apart from the General Assembly, his federation will hold other activities to mark this year’s edition. The activities include a workshop for tournament directors and adjudicators which has been slated for 24-25 November, 2011.

Eakyns revealed that Certificates will be presented to those who pass the test as directors during the workshop.

Inter-Club finals have been slated for 26 and 27 November, 2011.

Eakyns said states willing to attend the General Assembly should submit the names of their delegates to the Secretary General on or before 18 November. Also, registration for workshop and submission of names should be forwarded to the federation secretariat on or before 5 November, 2011.
