Abesan Cup: Oniru Utd Promise Royal Palace Tough Game

Team Manager of Oniru United, Ahmed Ajibola,has warned Royal Palace to prepare for war when both teams clash tomorrow at the ongoing Abesan Cup.

The encounter will hold at the Community Primary School, Isheri-Idimu, Alimosho, Lagos.

Ahead of tomorrow clash, Ajibola said his team cannot afford to lose their opening match against Royal Palace. He said that he will do everything possible to get the three points at stake.

“Our first match is very crucial to us; we need to clinch the three points at stake. Royal Palace are very good side but they will go down in tomorrow ‘s clash,” he said.

Ajibola said that all his players are in high spirits to take their opponents to the cleaners as none of them suffers injury.

He, however, warned the players not to be complacent in their opening game, charging them to approach all their games with seriousness.

“We are in this competition to win the title. Like I said earlier, our first match will determine if the team will go far in the competition. But with what I saw in the traning, I am convinced that the team will go places,” he said.

On Saturday, Santos FC will battle Labro FC, Dynamic FC will take on Midas FC while Prostars FC will slug it out against Shalom FC.

Chairman Organising Committee,Tayo Adeyemo, expressed satisfaction with the officiating, organisation and standard of play of the participating teams.
